| Video Diary: Learning To Not Compare To My Ex |
| Posted by Khiem in: Articles |
I found myself in a dilemma.
I’ve been dating this girl for a few months now… and every time I’d go home, I’d start thinking of her compared to my ex. I didn’t know why… but I just did it.
I’d ask myself… how are the emotions for her compared to the emotions I had for my ex. How was the sex with her compared to the sex with my ex? How was her attitude towards me compared to my ex? How was she ANYTHING… compared to my ex?
It came to the point of… geez… why am I comparing this new girl to my ex?
Granted, I liked my ex a lot and I still have very fond memories of her but this new girl is a GREAT girl in her own right. How can I truly appreciate and care for her if I treat her like the shadow of my ex?
This is what this first video diary is about. I wanted to share a bit of myself to you guys so you can see what living my life looks like. Being a dating coach doesn’t mean I’m above you when it comes to love.
A lot of these so-called dating coaches and PUAs will tell you about their latest conquests. They tell you how easy it was to meet a girl, how easy it was to get her to the bedroom but how many of them will sincerely tell you who they like, how they really feel, how much they want to care or not care for them?
Meeting women is not just about having sex… If you are in that phase of your life right now in which that’s all you want to do, then great! But for me, I am in the phase of my life when I want to meet someone meaningful. I want to meet someone who adds value to my life. I want to meet someone who’s my equal. I want someone special. I could care less about a string of meaningless women but if one, or two or three girls could be meaningful… hmmmm…
I noticed I learn a lot more about myself by going on dates and having relationships than simply casually fucking a bunch of girls.
Relationships test your character. Allowing yourself to be open and vulnerable to someone teach you strength in your conviction, in your values.
In many ways, relationships help you redefine the kind of man you want to be.
You can believe you are a great person, but how can you be sure that you are? Only by watching how the people you have relationships with relate back to you.
